Verón–Punta Cana, Dominican Republic — A new community sports space is on the way for Ciudad del Rey. The Municipal Tourist District of Verón–Punta Cana, led by mayor Ramón Antonio “Manolito” Ramírez, kicked off construction on a multiuse sports court this Tuesday with an official groundbreaking ceremony.
Designed to boost recreation, healthy lifestyles, and neighborhood cohesion, the project will provide a safe, modern venue where children, teens, and adults can gather for sports and community activities.
Local officials, community leaders, and residents praised the initiative as a clear sign of the administration’s commitment to the quality of life and sustainable development of the district’s neighborhoods.
“This court will become a family meeting point and a platform to elevate local athletic talent,” said Mayor Manolito. “Every project we launch aims to improve the lives of our people. We’ll keep working with the same energy to bring development to every corner of Verón–Punta Cana.”
The city council continues rolling out its district-wide public works plan, reinforcing its focus on citizen participation and creating inclusive public spaces that encourage coexistence, recreation, and the comprehensive development of the community.
