Mexico –Long live the Aerobús announced its preliminary traffic results for November 2023. This month, passenger traffic increased by 13.0% compared to November 2022, reaching 2.2 million passengers, driven by a 14.1% and 3.2% increase in domestic traffic and international, respectively. The load factor reached 86.8% compared to 85.9% in 2022, derived from a load factor of 88.1% and 80.2% in the domestic and international markets, respectively.
Viva increased its total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) by 12.0% compared to November 2022. Regarding the breakdown by market, Viva Aerobus grew its capacity by 13.5% in the domestic market and by 4.8% in the international.
“November traffic was robust, with passenger demand outpacing capacity growth, allowing us to maintain our load factor at healthy levels of 86.8%. As we approach the end of the year, demand trends remain positive in the domestic and international market, supporting our disciplined growth. Going forward, we are managing the variables under our control to partially mitigate the impacts of inspections on Pratt & Whitney GTF engines on our operation, with the second phase beginning in early 2024,” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva.
