WestJet unveiled its expanded 2024 summer calendar, offering more travel options from Canada to warmer destinations.
The summer will see the launch of 10 new routes. There will also be the return or expansion of 16 routes. This highlights the airline’s return to Puerto Plata from Toronto. It is also an extension to Punta Cana from Calgary.
“Our summer 2024 calendar continues to deliver on our commitment to make critical investments across Canada. This provides more affordable options for Canadians and international visitors to connect with the people and places that matter most,” he said. John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
“This summer we will see the return of seasonal leisure-focused flights. This is to connect eastern and western Canada. There will be substantial growth in service to sunny destinations. This further cements our position as Canada's leading leisure airline. At our global hub in Calgary and in cities across the country, the WestJet program supports Canada's visitor economy with more than 75,000 seats arriving each week from Europe, Asia, and USA,” he added.
WestJet will increase cross-border seating capacity by 26% this summer. This includes 70% growth at Delta hubs.

- Calgary-Maui
- Calgary-Punta Cana
- Calgary-Varadero
- Vancouver-Phoenix
- Edmonton-Phoenix
- Edmonton-Orlando
Return routes include the following:
- Halifax-Dublin
- Halifax-London (LGW)
- Halifax-Orlando
- St. John's-Orlando
- Toronto-Dublin
- Toronto-Edinburgh
- Toronto-Providenciales
- Toronto-Puerto Plata
- Toronto-Moncton
