Punta Cana, RD- The professional Willy Pumarol conquered this Sunday the fifth stop of the Canita Tour 2023-24, held this weekend at the La Cana Golf Club course, in Punta Cana.
Pumarol, from Creating Olympic Dreams (Creso), finished with rounds of 68+70+68, to total 206. It is the second stop that Willito wins. Juan José Guerra has two wins and one for Julio Santos.
Julio Santos precisely took second place after compiling 211 strokes, with rounds of 67+73+71. Amateur Rhadamés Peña came third with 73+70+69.
While in the Mid-Amateur category, with rounds of 70+75, Francisco Muñoz took first place, thus winning his second stop of the season. Manuel Luna came second with 76+74.
In Senior A, Hugo Lazarde, with 150 strokes, took first place again. Tony Maher followed him, totaling 154.
The sixth stop of the Canita Tour will be held at the PGA Ocean's 4 Golf course, in La Romana, on February 17 and 18, 2024.
The tournament has the technical supervision of the Dominican Golf Federation (Fedogolf).
