The President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), Julie Simpson, reported that “the strong recovery of destinations such as Cancun and Punta Cana is due to the effort that the public and private sectors have sustained in terms of promoting destinations.”
He stated in an interview on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, which makes both destinations an international benchmark for tourists.
“They are consolidated tourist destinations with a solid infrastructure and a wide range of hotels that have been able to quickly adapt to the changing needs and preferences of travelers,” he emphasized.
