Wyndham’s Beyond 2024 Conference Puts Punta Cana Back on the American Tourism Agenda

Santo Domingo, DR. – East of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, is currently the focal point for the international tourism industry. This is owing to a meeting currently underway of regional hotel experts and sector business leaders at the 2024 Beyond Regional Conference organized by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts during the first week of November.

Over the course of three days, over 15 speakers will address more than 200 industry professionals from the tourism sector along with business leaders from other regional hotels and the media. They will discuss the state of the hotel industry, the undertakings in progress, future industry trends, and more.

The Conference agenda organized by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for the Regional 2024 Beyond will consist of three main themes at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa: Vision for the Future – Leading the Transformation; Innovation and trends: The present and future of a dynamic context; and Operations of Excellence: Transformative Innovation and Quality.

Gustavo Viescas, the president of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Latam Group, will present the conference “Leading the Transformation – An overview of WHR globally and in Latin America”. In his address, he will focus on the tools and technologies that transform and fuel growth within the hotel industry amidst fierce competition.

On the other hand, Jimena Faena, VP, Marketing, Brands Operations & Revenue Management of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Latamc will speak on “Innovation and trends: The present and future of a dynamic context”. She will discuss how social marketing and generative artificial intelligence can transform the hotel industry.

Meanwhile, María Carolina Pinheiro, VP, Business Development, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Latamc will discuss “Operations of Excellence: Transformative Innovation and Quality in Motion -Fresh approaches to improving our operational quality and excellency which result in memorable experiences.

Dominican Republic at the Wyndham Beyond 2024 Regional Conference

On the Tuesday agenda, the tourism experience of the Dominican Republic will be the main highlight. This will be presented through the panel RD: Driving Growth and Innovation with panel speakers Edward De Valle II from GDV SRL, Marcial Smester from the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic, Carlos Ruiz, Executive Director of Investments at Advanced Funds, Juan Alberto Mustafa Michel the director of Bandex, and Rafael Blanco of Viva Resorts. The panel will be moderated by Gustavo Viescas, president of the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Latam Group.

The “Sustainable Hotels: Leading the future” panel on how sustainability can enhance profitability and efficiency of the hotel business and the panel “STR: Information is power” that delves deep into the major trends reshaping the industry and how to profit off them will also be held.
