Santo Domingo – President Luis Abinader is scheduled to meet with the board of directors of the Punta Bergantín Innovation Hub this Thursday at 3:00 p.m. in the Green Room of the National Palace. The meeting will focus on advancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and the development of human capital in the Dominican Republic and the wider Caribbean region.
The Punta Bergantín Innovation Hub is a public-private initiative designed to foster innovation by enhancing infrastructure and supporting high-potential projects. Its board is composed of six private sector leaders and five public sector representatives, and is chaired by Franklyn Holguín Haché.
The hub plays a central role in the government’s broader strategy to position the Dominican Republic as a regional leader in innovation and technology, offering resources to emerging entrepreneurs, startups, and research initiatives.
Earlier in the day, President Abinader is expected to attend the inauguration of the Plaza Colonial parking facility at 10:30 a.m., further highlighting the administration’s ongoing investments in urban infrastructure and development.
