North America – AAA has added nine hotels and four restaurants to its prestigious Four Diamond list for July 2025, recognizing these properties for their elegant design, upscale amenities, and attentive service.
The newly honored hotels include a mix of urban luxury and tropical escapes, such as Caesars Republic Scottsdale in Arizona, Faraway Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, and The Vanguard Ann Arbor, Autograph Collection in Michigan. The Dominican Republic made a strong showing with three properties recognized: Hotel Santiago Curio Collection by Hilton, The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, and Zel Punta Cana. Also featured are The St. Regis Aruba Resort, The Bellevue Hotel, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Pennsylvania, and The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection in South Carolina.
In the restaurant category, four culinary destinations earned Four Diamond status: Chino Poblano in Playa del Carmen, Musaafer in Houston, Nina in Punta Cana, and The Leopard at des Artistes in New York City.
AAA’s Diamond ratings are determined through unannounced, in-person inspections by trained evaluators. Properties are assessed using the organization’s “4 Cs” criteria: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.
The Four Diamond designation reflects a high level of service and distinctive experiences, placing recipients among the top tier of hospitality providers in North America. As of now, there are approximately 1,750 Four Diamond hotels and 500 Four Diamond restaurants, in addition to 145 Five Diamond hotels and 65 Five Diamond restaurants.
AAA updates its Diamond list on a monthly basis and encourages travelers to explore their Trip Canvas tool or consult with a AAA travel advisor for personalized travel planning and reservations.
