Verón–Bávaro–Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. – The Municipality of Verón–Bávaro–Punta Cana, through its International Relations Department, has officially confirmed its participation in the 2025 Dominican Republic Hotels and Tourism Association Fair (ASONAHORES). The local government will showcase the destination with an official stand designed to strengthen the Punta Cana brand and highlight its role as the country’s leading tourism hub.
Promoting Growth and Local Inclusion
According to municipal representatives, the primary goal of this initiative is to drive sustainable development and economic growth across the region. The town hall’s presence at ASONAHORES underscores the importance of maintaining a strong role in spaces that directly influence the tourism sector, the economic engine of Punta Cana and Bávaro.
Beyond promoting Punta Cana as a top international destination, the municipal stand will also create opportunities for small and medium-sized local businesses. Many entrepreneurs who lack the funds to exhibit at the fair will now be able to participate through the municipality’s support, gaining access to meetings, networking, and potential business agreements.
Strengthening International Ties
The participation also reflects a broader vision of international cooperation and city-to-city partnerships. With a “win–win” approach, Punta Cana seeks to establish strategic alliances that enhance cultural exchange, tourism, and investment opportunities for the benefit of the entire La Altagracia province.
Commitment to National Tourism Strategy
In addition, the Municipality is working closely with the Ministry of Tourism to reinforce Punta Cana’s visibility at global tourism expos, such as the prestigious International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held annually in Spain.
“We want to continue supporting the Ministry of Tourism and ensure that the Punta Cana brand is promoted in every international space available,” municipal leaders stated.
A Bridge for Sustainable Development
With this move, the Municipality of Verón–Bávaro–Punta Cana reaffirms its commitment to acting as a bridge between the public sector, the tourism industry, and local entrepreneurs. The initiative highlights a collective effort to ensure that the growth of Punta Cana remains structured, inclusive, and sustainable—further consolidating its position as the number-one tourism destination in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
