Punta Cana — Air connectivity between Punta Cana and South America gets a fresh lift this October as Arajet increases service to São Paulo, Brazil, responding to robust passenger demand and strengthening tourism and trade flows between the Caribbean and the Southern Cone.
The Dominican carrier is adding one more weekly frequency on the Punta Cana–São Paulo route, moving from five to six flights per week. With the adjustment, travelers can fly between both destinations every day except Thursday, widening options for leisure and business itineraries.
All services are scheduled on Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft configured in a single-class cabin for 185 passengers, a setup designed to deliver a modern, fuel-efficient operation and a streamlined onboard experience.
According to the timetable, flight DM 6022 departs Punta Cana at 2:13 p.m., arriving in São Paulo at 10:25 p.m. The return leg, DM 6087, leaves São Paulo at 4:23 a.m. and lands in Punta Cana at 10:00 a.m., enabling convenient same-day connections on both ends.
With the added frequency, Arajet reaches 54 monthly flights on the route in October—more than double its nearest competitor, GOL, which operates 26 monthly services. The expansion cements Arajet’s role as a key connector in the region and gives travelers more affordable, efficient choices between the Dominican Republic and Brazil.
