Rosario, Argentina – Starting June 2026, Rosario International Airport will launch a new direct route to Punta Cana, operated by Arajet with three weekly flights, strengthening connectivity between Argentina and the Dominican Republic.

The new route will not only link Rosario and Punta Cana nonstop, but will also allow travelers to connect via the Dominican Republic to other international destinations within Arajet’s network, expanding travel options for both leisure and business passengers.

The announcement was confirmed by Gustavo Puccini, Santa Fe’s Minister of Productive Development, who noted that the incorporation of new routes is part of the province’s strategy to capitalize on recent investments in airport infrastructure. Among the works underway is a new lighting and guidance system that will enable the terminal to reach Category 3, allowing it to handle larger aircraft and maintain operations even in adverse weather conditions.

According to official figures, Rosario International Airport is expected to grow from 17 weekly international frequencies in the 2025 summer season to 50 weekly flights in 2026, positioning Rosario as an increasingly important logistics, commercial and tourism hub in the region, with Punta Cana as one of its key Caribbean gateways.
