Punta Cana Airport service awards highlight its latest international honors for accessibility and customer experience. The terminal earned Level 1 Accessibility Accreditation from Airports Council International World (ACI World), recognizing its inclusive infrastructure and support for passengers with reduced mobility.
At the same event, PUJ received its ninth consecutive award as Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean for airports serving 5 to 15 million passengers annually. The airport also retained its Level 3 Customer Experience accreditation from ACI, a distinction it has held for two years running.
These awards follow PUJ’s adoption of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, the first in the Dominican Republic. The initiative supports travelers with non-visible disabilities. The airport also provides ramps, dedicated lines, and assistance services for passengers with mobility needs.
Earlier in 2026, Punta Cana International Airport was named “Best Airport in Central America and the Caribbean” by Skytrax at the World Airport Awards. It also entered the global top 100 airports list for the first time, reinforcing its regional leadership.
Air France resumes direct flights to PUJ this year, improving connectivity for European travelers.
