La Romana — A Boeing 737-400, registration HC-CWG, operated by Ecuadorian airline Aeroregional, made an emergency landing at La Romana International Airport following an alert indicating an unsafe landing gear.

Airport emergency teams were immediately deployed, and established safety protocols were activated.

As a precaution, the pilot circled the area for several minutes to burn off fuel and reduce the aircraft’s weight, adhering to standard safety procedures.

The plane later landed safely and under control, with no incidents, damage, or injuries reported.

Emergency services remained on standby throughout the operation but were not required to intervene. Airport operations continued as usual.
