Ramírez (Manolito) explained that the Verón–Punta Cana Tourist Municipal District City Hall has presented several mobility proposals to the central government and the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT). These initiatives are framed within the Territorial Planning Plan, a document that pinpoints the main high-traffic zones—among them Downtown Punta Cana—with the goal of improving circulation and modernizing urban mobility.
According to the district director, the proposal is currently under review by the Government through the RD Vial Trust (RD Vial), the entity in charge of major road projects nationwide. The plan includes the construction of overpasses at key intersections, and there is a real possibility that at least one of these projects could break ground in 2026.

One of the main reasons is the need to separate traffic flows.
