The Dominican Republic Hotel and Tourism Association (Asonahores) has officially announced that the 38th edition of its annual Trade Show will be held from September 2–4, 2026, at BlueMall Punta Cana. The event, recognized as the nation’s premier tourism business summit, is expected to draw more than 300 domestic and international exhibitors.
Designed to showcase the extensive economic reach of the tourism sector, the exhibition will feature a diverse array of industries, including food and beverage, technology, financial services, and energy solutions, alongside specialized furniture and industrial kitchen equipment.
Asonahores President Juan Bancalari emphasized the event’s role as a strategic bridge, connecting entrepreneurs and suppliers with the Dominican Republic’s high-growth hospitality industry to foster innovation and national economic development.
The association reported a high level of private sector engagement, with over 70% of the available exhibition space already reserved. This robust demand underscores the trade show’s status as a critical commercial platform for local and global stakeholders.
The 2026 itinerary includes the prestigious UNABAR Cup and the National Barista Competition. Enhancements to the event infrastructure feature a renovated business lounge for high-stakes networking and expanded digital coverage to boost brand visibility for participants. Furthermore, the show will continue to prioritize sustainability through digital-first logistics and the active promotion of Dominican artisans.
The 38th Asonahores Trade Show is supported by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and a consortium of major institutional sponsors, including Banco BHD, Banco Popular Dominicano, Banreservas, and CEPM.
