Punta Cana International Airport has improved its accessibility services, earning the Level 1 Accessibility Accreditation from ACI World. The recognition evaluates the airport’s infrastructure, staff training, and support services for passengers with disabilities under international standards.

The airport also retained its title as Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean for its passenger category of 5–15 million annually. This marks the ninth time Punta Cana Airport has received the award.

In addition, it renewed its Level 3 Customer Experience Accreditation for the second consecutive year. This accreditation reflects the airport’s commitment to enhancing passenger satisfaction and service quality.

Handling nearly 8 million travelers annually, Punta Cana International Airport is the main tourism gateway in the Dominican Republic. It currently connects to 81 international destinations across 26 countries.

Recent improvements align with new route announcements from Aerolíneas Argentinas and Breeze Airways, expanding air connectivity to the region starting in 2026.
