The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) and the Barna Senior Management School signed an agreement to promote training among members of the thirty-fifth Asonahores Trade Show. The event took place at BlueMall Puntacana during the entity’s celebration and aimed to promote and facilitate training activities.
David Llibre, president of Asonahores, expressed that the hotel sector aims to enhance its functions and contribute to the competitiveness and sustainable development of the Dominican tourism sector through increased knowledge. He stated, “In Asonahores, we strive to improve tourism, hotel activities, and the overall offering of the sector by leveraging teaching resources.”
Meanwhile, Ignacio Santoni, Commercial Director, member of the Barna Council, and Professor of Commercial Management and Marketing, explained that the collaboration will focus on areas of mutual interest and the production of joint activities to promote sectors that contribute to the national economy. Professor Santoni said, “By signing this agreement, we hope to support the management and business area of the tourism sector and expand its relationships with the productive sectors across the nation.”
Andrés Marranzini Grullón, executive vice president of Asonahores, emphasized their commitment to promoting academic training by supporting Barna in the Scholarships for Excellence program. He mentioned that their joint study with Analytica, an economic intelligence company, on tourism recovery will be included as a case study developed with Barna.
The agreement covers various teaching activities such as research, participation in seminars, courses, workshops, and other academic events. It also involves the exchange of studies and publications, joint training programs, and publications.
