Cabeza de Toro gets its name from the shape of its beach area, which resembles a bull’s head. The shape can be clearly seen on the map. The community is believed to have been established in the 1960s and is home to one of the most beautiful beaches in La Altagracia. It is situated between the Caribbean Sea and the stunning Bávaro lagoon. Cabeza de Toro is known as the largest sanctuary for the Blue Marlin fish, and several sport fishing tournaments for this species are held here annually.
