Cap Cana Ciudad Destination embarks on construction of Concacaf soccer stadium.

NUNNA CANA, Dominican Republic. Concacaf has given the first word with which it began the construction work of its new state-of-the-art football facilities that will be developed in the Destination City Cap Cana, in the Dominican Republicwith an investment of more than US$30 million.

The ONE Concacaf Football House will be built to benefit the technical development of the 41 Member Associations of the Confederation and its facilities will include multiple fields with high-quality international standards, locker rooms, technical education rooms and a gym, with the possibility of expansion in the future.

The event was led by the president of Concacaf and vice president of FIFA, Victor Montaglianiand was attended by the presidents of the Concacaf Member Associations and members of the Concacaf Council.

Guests from the Dominican Republic also attended, including the Executive President of Cap Cana, Jorge Subero Medina, the President of the Board of Directors of Cap Cana, Fernando Hazourythe Minister of Tourism of the country, David Collado; the president of the Abrisa Group, Abraham Hazourythe businessman Manuel Entrella, among others.

The ONE Concacaf Football House “It will be an incredible piece of work for our Confederation and will bring enormous benefits to the football development efforts of all our Member Associations,” said Concacaf President and FIFA Vice President Victor Montagliani.

“Having a state-of-the-art facility that we can call our own, hosting coaching licensing courses, referee development initiatives and a host of other programs and competitions, will be a big change for Concacaf and our Federations. I want to sincerely thank the 41 presidents of our Federations for their unconditional support of this project, and the local authorities of Cap Cana for partnering with us on this very important initiative,” Montagliani added.

The executive president of Cap Cana, Jorge Subero Medina, thanked the confederation for having, through Azor Hazoury,member of the founding family of Cap Cana, chose this destination to develop such an important investment in the country, which not only represents an economic investment, but will also attract new forms of tourism diversification, especially sports, with an audience of different interests but which also contribute to other sectors around tourism.

The location of the UNA Concacaf Football House was selected after a rigorous process where different territories and sites throughout the Confederation were considered.
