menores en riesgo Punta Cana - Politur y Fundación Grupo Puntacana llevan atención social a menores vulnerables

The Punta Cana at-risk youth program, launched by Politur and the Grupo Puntacana Foundation, aims to provide educational, recreational, and psychological support to vulnerable minors in Veron-Punta Cana. The collaboration was formalized through a signed agreement last week.

As part of the program, the Grupo Puntacana Foundation has made available a community center in Altos de Friusa, La Altagracia province. The facility will host educational workshops, sports activities, recreational events, and psychological counseling tailored to at-risk youth.

This initiative builds on Politur’s broader efforts to enhance community safety and social integration in the tourism corridor. Designed as a safe space, the center will focus on strengthening personal development and community ties among minors facing social vulnerability.

The initiative highlights the importance of coordinated efforts between public institutions, private organizations, and civil society. General Minoru Matsunaga Matsunaga, director of Politur, and Paúl Beswick, executive director of the Grupo Puntacana Foundation, signed the agreement.

Recent operations in Bavaro also reflect increased institutional presence in the region, aimed at improving public safety and social conditions for residents and visitors alike.
