Punta Cana Forum Addresses Investment and Legal Security
Punta Cana investment and legal security will be central themes at the First Punta Cana Forum, set for September 15 at The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club. The event, running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., will convene government officials, legislators, judges, and experts to discuss economic growth, infrastructure, and institutional development.

A panel titled “Infrastructure and Investment: Engines of Dominican Economic Development” will include Jean Luis Rodríguez, Minister of Housing, Habitat, and Buildings; Hostos Rizik, director of RD Vial; former Minister of Economy Juan Ariel Jiménez; and former Deputy Minister of Environment Milagros De Camps Germán. Journalist Nairobi Viloria will moderate the session.
Legal security is a core concern for Punta Cana, a region experiencing rapid tourism, real estate, and commercial expansion. A second panel will feature Supreme Court Judge Yorlín Vásquez, Constitutional Court Judge Amaury Reyes, and lawmakers Charles Noel Mariotti Paz and Carmen Ligia Barceló González. Journalist Roberto Cavada will moderate the discussion on how legislation and legal clarity impact investment decisions.
The forum takes place as Punta Cana investment and legal security become increasingly linked to broader national economic trends.
