Punta Cana, La Altagracia — The Caicu at Coral Golf Resort project has advanced through a public hearing held by Cayacoa Group, a step within the regulatory process for tourism and real estate developments in the Dominican Republic.
The hearing, held on July 17, formed part of the project’s public participation, disclosure and transparency process before implementation. Representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MIMARENA), local authorities, neighborhood associations, community organizations, media organizations and private-sector stakeholders attended the event.
Architect José Gómez, representing the firm IDEA, presented the project’s technical details and overall scope. Diana M. Salciccia of Soluciones Ambientales SRL also participated in connection with the environmental review process.
Planned tourism and hotel development
According to information presented during the hearing, Caicu at Coral Golf Resort is planned as a tourism and hotel complex within Coral Golf Resort in Punta Cana. The development is intended to expand the tourism offering in the Dominican Republic’s eastern region.
The proposal includes Branded Residences by Caicu, with 200 rooms, and the Grand Aston Coral Golf Resort & Spa by Caicu, planned with 400 rooms. The project also includes a range of five-star amenities intended to support the guest experience.
International management and investment model
Cayacoa Group said the complex is expected to be operated by Archipelago International, a hotel and resort management company with operations in multiple international markets.
The developers also outlined plans to incorporate a tokenized investment model, using technology-based mechanisms intended to broaden investment participation in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
Sustainability commitments
Cayacoa Group said the public hearing reflects its commitment to strategic planning, sustainable development and community engagement. The company said it aims to develop a project that generates economic, tourism and social benefits while maintaining integration with the surrounding environment.
The project remains subject to the regulatory and environmental processes required for its implementation.
