Friusa community lacks traffic light, leading to traffic congestion

Friusa. Since before the sun rises, the main street of the community, in the Verón-Punta Cana district, is beautified by dozens of people walking, aboard heavy-duty vehicles and small cars. Likewise, hundreds of motorcycles pass during the day on this access road to different sectors of the same town.

In a space where hundreds of means of transport travel, it should be regulated by a traffic light that grants passage to each end of the road. The green, orange and red colors that make up the traffic signal, which are permanently turned off in this area.

The lights that make up the traffic control signal are not in effect when it comes to regulating the passage of vehicles and the opportunity that people walking on foot have to go from one end to the other.

At the pump located in this town there is a pole that has part of the traffic regulator, for those who are leaving the Hoyo de Friusa. The other part of the traffic light is located on the corner in front of the gas pump between a lottery bank and a place that sells cell phones and accessories for these electronic devices.

El Hoyo de Friusa is characterized by having narrow streets and numerous vehicles that want to enter or leave at the same time. Which becomes catastrophic due to the excess of people in the town during the day.

In an observatory to see the behavior that these people have on board cars, motorcycles and cargo trucks, without any type of authority or traffic light to help the passage so that no type of blockage is caused.

For 5 minutes it was possible to count more than 20 heavy vehicles, more than 40 small vehicles and around 38 engines. These means of transport came face to face with each other when crossing to the side they were going to go.

Circulation

Observing all the idiots that circulate on this street is like enjoying a catwalk, but instead of models, you can see the long-bed trucks that come from a place very far from the entrance of the town. Sand, stones, among other things, these drivers carry.

Despite being a place that should be traveled calmly, many motors pass at excess speed, turning corners in a very peculiar way.

Likewise, when large trucks are about to cross, the small ones slow down and once they have finished passing, the flow continues normally. The drivers themselves are in charge of making the transition to the other end so that traffic can flow.

There are residents who think having a traffic light would not help.

“If they fix the traffic light again, traffic will become chaos,” said Tavares Sosa, a resident of Friusa who was riding a motorcycle. Likewise, he declared that the traffic light does not last a week when fixed and that it is better for those who live there than it being like this.
