INICIA and Gerdau agree to share acquisition deal



Santo Domingo.- INICIA announced through a press release the acquisition of all the shares that Gerdau had in Gerdau Metaldom, Gerdau Diaco, Cyrgo and Kbina. This transaction was carried out through the INICIA investment fund dedicated to the construction materials industry. By reaffirming its commitment to society and the national economy, INICIA expressed its short and medium-term aspirations, including investing in a local steel mill to produce steel by transforming scrap.

The statement conveyed gratitude for the corporate relationship maintained with Gerdau for more than 9 years, highlighting the collaborative success that led to the consolidation of Metaldom's position in the Dominican Republic.

The document highlighted achievements in sustainability, such as increasing clean energy consumption, responsible waste management, and acquiring certifications, including the Environmental Product Declaration for rebar.
