He explained that the new airlines with Dominican registration, together with the international operators that have established themselves in the country in the last three years, have generated a significant induced demand for technicians, support personnel and service employees, who in many cases will need an adequate level of specialized training.

The director of ASCA, Clara Fernández, also spoke on the topic of training, who highlighted the importance of the “Open House” or opening of the academy facilities to present to interested young people all the opportunities offered by the IDAC study center. to pursue a degree in aeronautical administration or other specialized areas.

Meanwhile, other vacancies offered by participating companies are cabin crew, aircraft maintenance, operations agents, operations supervisor, VIP customer service and ramp supervisor. Additionally, positions in the areas of finance, human resources, accounting and others.

Also participating were academies, colleges and specialized educational centers such as the National School of Airline Agents, American Dominican School, Perpetual Socorro School of the Dominican Air Force, Jiménez de los Santos Educational Center, Christian Baptist School, Children International, José Joaquín Pérez Night Lyceum , Maranatha Studies Center and San Miguel School.

The first jobs fair and open house was held last year in the same place with the presence of more than 20 companies or institutions from the sector and hundreds of young people interested in entering the world of civil aviation.
