World Travel Awards 2024: Nominations for the RD category

SANTO DOMINGO. The World Travel Awards, one of the most prestigious awards worldwide for recognizing the excellence of key sectors in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, nominated the Dominican Republic in six distinctions that highlight the leading destinations in the Caribbean in this 2024.

In its thirty-first edition, whose gala ceremony in the Caribbean and the Americas will be held on May 19 of this year in Jamaica, the awards also nominated six Dominican hotel complexes in four categories and three Dominican companies in three other categories linked to the tourist transport, for a total of 13 nominations.

Nominations in “Destiny” category

  • Leading adventure tourism destination in the Caribbean
  • Leading beach destination in the Caribbean
  • Leading cruise destination in the Caribbean
  • Leading natural destination in the Caribbean
  • Leading sports tourism destination in the Caribbean

In this category, there is an additional award: “Leading Caribbean Tourism Board”, which praises the work of promoting this destination to attract more visitors and remain competitive. In this category, nominated to the Dominican Ministry of Tourism.
