Bávaro—The long-awaited Los Manantiales Crossing overpass is set to open in approximately three to four weeks, according to Frank Rainieri, founder of the Puntacana Group. Although he did not reveal the project’s total cost, Rainieri highlighted that construction advanced at an unprecedented pace, reflecting the company’s focus on fast, practical solutions that benefit nearby communities.
Rainieri noted that the overpass is being developed through a public–private partnership aimed at easing traffic, strengthening connectivity for surrounding neighborhoods, and streamlining access to key destinations across the country’s eastern corridor.
The update was shared during the International Conference on Tourism Cooperation, hosted in the Dominican Republic by UN Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur). Rainieri underscored that improved mobility infrastructure is essential to sustaining tourism growth and enhancing the daily lives of residents in Bávaro and greater Punta Cana.
