Santo Domingo, RD.- The Dominican Republic continues to break tourist arrival records and is steadily moving towards achieving the desired goal of 10 million tourists in 2023. This was reported by Minister David Collado this Wednesday, November 1 in his customary meeting to announce the figures of the sector.

At the meeting held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Santo Domingo and attended by President Luis Abinader Corona, Collado reported that, in the month of October, the country received 531,017 non-resident visitors by air, achieving a new record.

The Minister of Tourism also reported that so far in 2023, until October 31, the Dominican Republic received 8,245,189 non-resident visitors by air and sea, “which leaves us one step away from achieving the goal of 10 million tourists.” in 2023,” said Collado.

For his part, President Abinader congratulated the entire sector for their hard work to reach these very good tourism numbers. He highlighted that “this year and together with the private sector, we will meet the goal of 10 million tourists that the country has been seeking for years,” said the president.
