New Education District Promises Better Services for Veron-Punta Cana

Veron-Punta Cana’s new Education District 12-05 marks a significant step forward in addressing the growing educational needs of the region. This new education district Punta Cana initiative will enable more localized administration, ensuring that the unique demands of a student population exceeding 28,000 are met efficiently.

Currently, the area serves 28,937 students across 27 public schools, 54 private institutions, nine adult education centers, and two early childhood facilities.

Local Administration and Improved Services

Previously under the jurisdiction of the Higuey-based District 12-01, Veron-Punta Cana’s growing educational demands will now be managed locally, reducing the burden on the existing system.

Parents, teachers, and students will benefit from quicker processing of academic records, corrections, and legalizations, without the need to travel to Higuey.

Enhanced Planning and Resource Allocation

Local planning for classrooms, new schools, and resource allocation will better reflect the area’s growth and educational needs.

The new district will also allow for closer monitoring of schools, improved support for principals and teachers, and faster responses to emerging issues.
