Punta Cana Firefighters Train with Panamanian Experts in Emergency Response
Punta Cana firefighter training began Wednesday with the arrival of a delegation from Panama’s Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos. The group was welcomed by local fire officials in Verón–Punta Cana as part of a regional capacity-building initiative.

The delegation is participating in the “Firefighter Capacity Building Day,” scheduled for Thursday, September 10 at the Verón Punta Cana Municipal Office. The event, which starts at 8:30 a.m., focuses on knowledge exchange, gender integration, and coordinated emergency responses.
Organized by the Verón Punta Cana Municipal Council and the local fire department, the training aims to strengthen emergency preparedness in the region. The Panamanian delegation will share insights from their experience in firefighting and public safety operations.
This collaboration builds on previous international training efforts. Last year’s session also included experts from Panama, highlighting continued cooperation in emergency response across borders.
