Dominican Republic – As part of its 30th anniversary celebrations, BM Cargo has officially announced the 12th edition of its signature Charity Golf Tournament, set to take place from September 25 to 27, 2025, at the world-renowned Punta Espada Golf Course in Cap Cana.
The company revealed that this year’s edition will not only continue supporting its traditional educational initiatives but will also, for the first time, extend its philanthropic reach to include organizations focused on animal welfare. The beneficiary foundations, selected through the 2025 Open Call, include Junior Achievement Dominicana, Fundación Transformando Vidas para el Futuro, Fundación Proyecto ELA, and Fundación De Blanck.
Regarded as the largest golf tournament in the country, this event is now a hallmark of corporate social responsibility within the logistics sector. Over 360 amateur golfers are expected to gather in an atmosphere that blends friendly competition with a strong commitment to community support.
“This tournament was born out of a desire to give back to the community that has placed its trust in us,” said Ramsés Atallah, President of BM Cargo. “More than a decade later, it remains a meaningful platform for channeling tangible support to causes that positively impact our nation. We are proud to collaborate with foundations that work tirelessly for a better and more inclusive Dominican Republic.”
Tournament Technical Director Félix Olivo shared details of the competition, noting it will follow the Modified Best Ball Stableford format (70% handicap) over three rounds of play. Awards will be presented for Best Overall Gross Score, Best Overall Net Score, and the top three net scores in categories A, B, and C for each day. A special women’s category will compete on Thursday, and daily prizes will be awarded for closest-to-the-pin challenges on all par-3 holes, longest drives, and hole-in-one shots.
Beyond the greens, attendees can expect a range of exclusive experiences, including a grand awards luncheon at Punta Espada, themed parties at Los Establos, and a private ladies’ event featuring live music. Entertainment highlights include performances by renowned artists such as Víctor Manuelle, Yiyo Sarante, Ilegales, Eddy Herrera, and Wisin.
