PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic — Dominican airline Arajet has inaugurated a new direct route connecting Punta Cana with Rosario, Argentina, strengthening air connectivity between the Caribbean and one of Argentina’s most important economic and population centers.
The new service will operate three times per week, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The route will add more than 1,100 seats to the market and provide travelers with direct access to Punta Cana, while also offering seamless connections through Arajet’s hubs in Punta Cana and Santo Domingo to destinations across its growing network in the Americas.
The launch forms part of Arajet’s broader expansion strategy in Argentina, a market that continues to show strong demand for international travel, particularly to Caribbean beach destinations.
Industry analysts view the new connection as a significant step in strengthening tourism and commercial ties between the Dominican Republic and Argentina, one of the country’s most important source markets for international visitors.
According to airline officials, the Rosario route is expected to facilitate travel for both leisure and business passengers while supporting the continued growth of tourism arrivals from South America.
“Rosario is a city with enormous potential, and we are excited to add this new connection to our network,” said Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet. “With this route, we are bringing Argentinians closer to the Dominican Republic and to the many destinations we serve throughout the continent.”
Argentina remains one of the Dominican Republic’s strongest tourism markets and is currently the leading source of passengers within Arajet’s route network. The airline believes the addition of Rosario will further strengthen that relationship while expanding travel opportunities for residents of central Argentina.
The new route also reinforces Punta Cana’s position as a key aviation gateway in the Caribbean, supporting the Dominican Republic’s efforts to expand air connectivity and attract visitors from strategic international markets.
As Arajet continues to grow its footprint across the Americas, the Punta Cana–Rosario service represents another milestone in the airline’s strategy to increase regional connectivity and make travel between Latin America and the Caribbean more accessible and affordable.
