BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — Aerolíneas Argentinas has announced the launch of Economy Plus, a new premium economy-style product that will be available on flights to Punta Cana, offering travelers enhanced comfort and additional benefits while remaining within the airline’s economy cabin.
The new service will be introduced on November 1 aboard the airline’s Airbus A330 fleet, which also operates long-haul routes connecting Argentina with Madrid, Rome, Miami, Cancun, and Punta Cana.
According to the carrier, Economy Plus has been designed for passengers seeking a more comfortable travel experience without upgrading to business class. The new section will occupy rows 14 through 17 of the aircraft and will feature a dedicated cabin configuration aimed at providing additional space and improved onboard amenities.
Tickets for the new service are already available through the airline’s official website, mobile application, and authorized travel agencies.
The introduction of Economy Plus expands Aerolíneas Argentinas’ product portfolio, creating an intermediate option between traditional economy and business class as airlines increasingly respond to growing demand for enhanced comfort on medium- and long-haul routes.
Passengers traveling in Economy Plus will receive several exclusive benefits, including increased legroom, priority baggage handling, and an upgraded onboard service experience. Additional amenities include a travel kit, individual blanket and pillow, and specially designed headrests intended to improve comfort during long flights.
Frequent travelers will also benefit from increased mileage accrual through the Aerolíneas Plus loyalty program. In addition, Economy Plus passengers will have access to the Condor Lounge at a 30% discounted rate.
The launch comes as demand for travel between South America and Caribbean destinations continues to grow, with Punta Cana remaining one of the most popular international vacation destinations for Argentine travelers.
By introducing Economy Plus on its Punta Cana service, Aerolíneas Argentinas aims to strengthen its competitive position in the leisure travel market while offering passengers greater flexibility and comfort when flying to the Dominican Republic and other international destinations.
