VERÓN–PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic — The Verón Punta Cana Tourist Municipal District City Hall recognized the district’s top-performing public schools during the annual School Voucher Contest awards ceremony, reaffirming its commitment to promoting academic excellence and strengthening public education.
The initiative was created to recognize the dedication, performance, and educational quality demonstrated by public schools throughout the district while encouraging continuous improvement among students, teachers, and school administrators.
During the ceremony, municipal authorities honored the educational institutions that achieved the highest scores in the competition, highlighting the collective efforts of educators, students, and administrative teams in fostering an environment of academic achievement.
The Verón I Educational Center received first place, followed by the Pedro Livio Cedeño Educational Center in second place. The Verón II Educational Center completed the list of top-performing schools by earning third place.
Municipal officials emphasized that the program is designed not only to reward outstanding academic performance but also to motivate schools to continue raising educational standards throughout the growing municipality.
The School Voucher Contest forms part of the City Hall’s broader strategy to invest in education and create opportunities that contribute to the academic and personal development of children and adolescents in Verón Punta Cana.
