Grupo Puntacana Earns Third Consecutive Workplace Safety Excellence Recognition

PUNTA CANA, Dominican RepublicGrupo Puntacana has been recognized by the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Labor for the third consecutive year as a Company of Excellence in Good Practices for Occupational Safety and Health, highlighting the group’s continued investment in employee well-being and safe workplace standards.

The recognition was presented during the 16th Certification of Compliance with Regulation 522-06 ceremony, an event led by President Luis Abinader and Labor Minister Eddy Olivares.

Paola Rainieri, Chief Marketing Officer of Grupo Puntacana, and Karina Guaba, the company’s Vice President of Human Resources, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

During the same ceremony, Corporación Aeroportuaria del Este (CAE), a Grupo Puntacana company, received the Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health Award for its implementation of risk-prevention practices and workplace safety management systems.

Several other companies within the Grupo Puntacana portfolio also received certification for compliance with Regulation 522-06. They included The Westin Puntacana Resort, Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana, Puntacana Laundry Service (PLS), and Grupo Diario Libre. The latter was recognized as the only media company in the Dominican Republic to meet the occupational safety and health compliance standard.

The Ministry of Labor’s distinction is among the country’s leading recognitions for organizations that effectively implement occupational safety and health management systems. The program promotes safe, healthy and sustainable work environments through practices designed to protect employees’ physical integrity and overall well-being.
