Arajet will open a new direct route between Punta Cana (PUJ) and Mendoza (MDZ), Argentina, starting May 16, 2026, adding a fresh air bridge between the Caribbean and one of South America’s most renowned wine regions. The service will operate three times a week, with flights scheduled on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, targeting both leisure travelers and the growing market of regional connectivity.

With this announcement, Mendoza becomes the fourth Argentine city in Arajet’s network, reinforcing the carrier’s strategic expansion in the Southern Cone. The low-cost airline now connects more than 28 destinations in 15 countries, positioning itself as one of the key players in point‑to‑point travel across the Americas.

According to the company, the new Punta Cana–Mendoza route is designed not only for direct travel between both destinations, but also as a hub for onward connections. From Mendoza, passengers will be able to link to over ten international cities, including Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Lima, Mexico City and Kingston, broadening options for Dominican and Argentine travelers who previously depended on multiple layovers.

Mendoza governor Alfredo Cornejo welcomed the new operation, highlighting that the direct link with Punta Cana will simplify international access to the province, lower travel barriers and increase its visibility as a destination. He emphasized that this route strengthens Mendoza’s appeal with its spectacular mountain landscapes, world‑class vineyards, wine tourism routes and a robust, high‑end hotel offering, all of which make the region highly attractive for visitors from the Caribbean and beyond.

To promote the launch, Arajet introduced a special introductory offer: up to 25% off the base fare using the promotional code “VamosMDZ”. The discount applies to tickets purchased between December 22 and 26, 2025, for travel dates from May 16, 2026, through March 21, 2027.

With this new route, Arajet deepens the air connectivity between Punta Cana and South America, opening fresh opportunities for tourism, business travel and cultural exchange between the Dominican Republic’s leading beach destination and one of Argentina’s most important wine and nature hubs.
