PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic — Larimar City & Resort, the large-scale smart city development being built by Spanish real estate and infrastructure company CLERHP, has entered into a strategic partnership with TK Elevator (TKE) and JCQ Ingeniería en Ascensores to provide advanced vertical transportation systems throughout the project’s residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors.
The agreement brings together TK Elevator, one of the world’s leading providers of elevator and mobility technologies, and JCQ Ingeniería en Ascensores, the company’s authorized distributor and installation partner in the Dominican Republic. The collaboration is expected to play a key role in supporting the development of a modern urban destination designed to meet international standards for innovation, safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Juan Andrés Romero, president of CLERHP and CEO of Larimar City & Resort, said the partnership aligns with the project’s strategy of collaborating with globally recognized industry leaders. He noted that the integration of TK Elevator’s technology, combined with JCQ’s local expertise, will help position Larimar City as a benchmark for next-generation urban development in the Caribbean.
Project officials emphasized that efficient vertical mobility is essential to the functionality of a mixed-use community of this scale, where residential towers, hotels, office spaces, and commercial areas are being developed within a single master-planned environment.
The agreement was coordinated through CLERHP’s Purchasing, Logistics, and Fleet Department. Pedro Alcalá Ruiz, the department’s manager, highlighted the importance of incorporating reliable and accessible transportation systems into the city’s infrastructure, describing vertical mobility as a critical element in enhancing convenience, accessibility, and overall quality of life for future residents and visitors.
TK Elevator currently operates in more than 100 countries and has extensive experience delivering mobility solutions for residential developments, hotels, commercial properties, and major infrastructure projects worldwide. Its inclusion in the Larimar City & Resort development further expands the project’s network of international partners and reinforces its vision of creating a technology-driven, sustainable urban destination in Punta Cana.
